Good business doesn’t come from merely showing up, introducing yourself and passing out business cards. Successful business is built on relationship. Here’s what you can expect at a typical meeting: |
open networking
Come a little early to each meeting and plan on staying a little late. This is a great time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Talk to people who interest you, and make a date to get to know one another better. Discover how networking can be more authentic and easygoing.
introductions
Each meeting provides the chance to introduce yourself to the group. Sometimes there’s just time to say your name and what you do, but mostly everyone gets 30 seconds to say a few words about herself and her work. Either way, we discover interesting connections.
small-group networking
Our meeting programs often include activities that encourage discussion. In small groups, we share our thoughts, ideas, aspirations and goals in response to specific questions. We learn about others in new ways and form deeper bonds.
acknowledgements
This is a unique part of every Connections meeting. Members and guests can take a minute to express appreciation for someone whose services they’ve used and recommend. It’s a great way to learn how each of us shines.
fundraising raffle
At each meeting we raffle off products and services, and the proceeds are used to support our good works programs, as well Connections' special projects. Donating to the raffle is a great way to contribute, plus you and your business get visibility. Each person who offers a gift gets 30 seconds to describe her unique donation.

Connections has helped me mature my business in ways I could have never imagined. The support from the coaches in the organization and the amazing speakers have been instrumental in helping me rebrand, as well as given me more joy and satisfaction. And the best thing is that I have made lifelong friends.
